Our Belief

Moriah Counseling and Consulting is a counseling agency that is committed to providing the best care and service available in the greater Cleveland area. What makes us distinctively different is our values but more specifically our Christian values. Our hope is firmly place on Him who said “I come that you may have life and have life to the full.”²   Our goal is to be like Christ in compassion and service by reaching out to ALL who are in need of counseling, training, or any of our services. Because of that we can say that we believe:

1.       That the Bible is the Word of God, inspired and inerrant in its original autographs, is complete and is the final revelation of God. 
(2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

2.       That there is only one God who desires to have a relationship with you and I and manifests Himself in three persons: the God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:6)

3.       That Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, born of a virgin, is without sin, and is our Savior. (John 1:14; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 4:15)

4.       That Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again from the dead, ascended back to heaven, and will one day return to this earth again. (Romans 5:8; Romans 14:9; Acts 1:11)

5.       That we are all sinners, guilty before God, deserving of judgment, and in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 3:23)

6.       That salvation from sin, death, and hell is by God's grace, based on the work of Jesus Christ alone, is received from God by faith apart from any human performance or merit.   Furthermore eternal life is a gift of God so that nothing can separate us from the love of God. (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:35-39)

7.       That unbelievers face eternal punishment and those who have a relationship with Christ have eternal
life. (Romans 6:23; Romans 8:10)

8.       That all believers should attend, actively support and serve in a local church for mutual edification, encouragement, evangelism, service and worship. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

9.       Jesus Christ is the ultimate and Wonderful Counselor who can forgive every sin and heal all our disease. That He is the one who calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. To trust Him when we are afraid. (Isaiah 9:6; Psalm 103:3; 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 56:3)

We do not want to place bandages on Styrofoam cups or temporarily fix broken tanks that cannot hold water², but point to the One who heals the broken hearted and binds the wounds³ of the hurting. We want to point to the One who can redeem our lives from the pit⁴ of loss, failure, pain and so much more. We serve Christ and work for His goodness and glory.

Moreover, in the spirit of Christ, we open our arms and hearts to anyone regardless of their spiritual beliefs…all in the hope that they will feel something greater within us than he who is in our world.⁵ We want you to come and experience Moriah, partake in our services, because we represent the One who can heal your wounds.
