Jairus Dayhoff is the newest member of Moriah Counseling and Consulting, LLC, serving as Pastoral Counselor in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the State of Ohio.

He has 18 years of experience in counseling, crisis intervention, and pastoral ministry.

Before joining the staff at Moriah, Jairus worked as a Youth Minister and Associate Pastor. He spent almost 10 years with a non-profit organization known as Youth Villages, as In-home therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Foster Care Counselor.  In addition to working as a Residential Counselor for a boys group home, he has experience working in funeral homes and with many different organizations including schools to implement interventions to help youth and adults succeed. 

Jairus has experience with many Mental Health related topics including Anxiety, Depression, Parenting Issues, ADHA, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, School Performance, Career Choice, and Adoption.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary as well as a Master of Science in Counseling from Freed Hardeman University.

Jairus and his wonderful bride, Laura are celebrating 21 years of marriage.  Laura is currently a stay-at-home Mom, but previously taught Special Education for 15 years.  Jairus and Laura are blessed with five amazing children, Aaron, Brooke, Kyia, Caleb, and Vivian and one dog, Chance.
